Qualifications
A physician licensed to practice medicine in Connecticut, serving on the facility's active organized medical staff, with at least one year of prior clinical experience in adult medicine, and a member of the active medical staff of a Connecticut-licensed general hospital.

- Suspend medical staff privileges when necessary
Notes
Confirmed for chronic and convalescent nursing homes (Regs. Conn. State Agencies § 19-13-D8t) — must visit at least every 7 days (7 a.m.-9 p.m.). Rest homes with nursing supervision under the same section carry a lighter, monthly visit standard. Connecticut's separate 'managed residential community' (assisted living) framework was not confirmed to carry the same physician requirement.
