Iowa: what a medical director of a long-term care / assisted living / group home must do

Both Iowa Code Ch. 135C (Health Care Facilities — nursing facilities AND residential care facilities) and Ch. 231C (Assisted Living Programs) were read in full (text-searched directly): neither ever uses the phrase 'medical director.' A nursing-facility-specific director may still be required under Iowa's implementing administrative code (441 IAC Ch. 58) and/or the federal 42 CFR §483.75(i) SNF Condition of Participation — not independently verified here — but residential care/assisted living has no statutory mandate.
